Gatchinsky and Luzhsky Bishop made a Public Prayer on occasion of Church construction outset in Kingiseppsky settlement

Official ceremony of Stepping Stone installation into the basement of the future Orthodox temple in honor of the Iveron Icon of the mother of God took place on Wednesday 28 June at 13.00 o’clock in Kingiseppsky settlement.

Ceremony was held by the Bishop of Gatchina and Luga, Mitrofan, he read the prayer, during which the Stepping Stone was consecrated and laid in the future temple foundation. At the close of Prayer, Bishop congratulated everyone upon such significant event:

– In cooperation with Settlement administration we had chosen this place. Today here is a hard ground laid for the Church, for the citizens and guests of the settlement could come and pray to the God. It is glad to see, that nowadays Temples are not only restored, but are built as well, – said the churchman. – thank God, there are people, who carry about construction of Prayer house. I would like to express my gratitude to those organizations, that responded to the request of the people and the company “EuroChem”, which initiated the construction of this temple.

The Head of the Bolshelutskoe settlement Alexey Ivanov, attending the solemnity, noted, that this event is a shining example of collaboration between common people – citizens of settlement, church, sponsors and local authority.

Up to the moment there was no Church in Kingiseppsky settlement. In 90s of previous century archimandrite Gury (Kuzmin) arranged a prayer closet in the settlement senior home, for people could get consolation by praying. However the only small prayer closet cannot meet the spiritual needs of all local citizens.

Nowadays initiative group of settlement citizens and Beneficiary of All S-Peterburg Saints Church in Kingisepp, priest Timofey Smirnov decided to proceed with this noble cause and initiated construction of the Temple for all citizens of Kingiseppsky settlement.

at once several companies of Kingisepp district expressed their willingness to support construction of the Temple, idea was inspired by “EuroChem-Northwest” Company implementing investment project of Ammonia Production at Industrial Area “Phosphorit”.

– as a representative of EuroChem company, I’m really proud to participate in such holy cause. I would like to mark efforts, which were done toward this goal by Bolshelutsky rural settlement Administration, father Timofey and personnaly executive director of our company Ilya Beloborodov. thanks to our friends, partners and contractors we have moved from words to deeds very quickly and made a base for future Temple, – said utilities lead specialist of “EuroChem-Northwest” Alexandr Ivanov.

This initiative was endorsed by Contractors of the Project “Ammonia Production. Kingisepp”.

– We are happy, that our company takes part in construction of this Temple, as it is investment in sacred future, – said reprsentative of Tecnimont-Russia, general Contractor of the project “Ammonia Production. Kingisepp”.

In his turn, Branco Lukovich, project leader of “Velesstroy” company, expressed a hope, that construction of Temple will be completed by the end of current year.

– Construction of Ammonia plant involved many of us, entrant people, that is much enough for this small town, and sometimes it makes some inconveniences for locals. But everywhere we are met friendly and it is pleasing. That is why we are glad to participate in construction of one more beautiful Church. Hope, that in the end of the year, it will be possible to celebrate christening or other solemn rites.

It’s worth remarking that other companies of Kingisepp district do not stay on the sideline, they also decided to take part in Church building – they are transportation company “Art-Trans” and construction company “Stroy-Unix”.
